Dr. Moira Martin

Dr. Moira Martin's main purpose as a provider at Lake Country Health Center is to improve overall function which allows her patients the ability to perform their activities with greater enthusiasm, endurance, enjoyment, comfort, and efficiency. As a chiropractor, she aims to restore proper joint and muscle movement through specific adjustments and soft tissue work along with rehabilitative exercises for longer lasting results. This helps create a healthy balance in your body that allows you to function at your full potential.

During her youth, Dr. Moira's excitement for chiropractic grew after being treated for a back injury from playing on her high school soccer team. She knew from that point forward that she wanted to devote time to helping people achieve their health and wellness goals. After experiencing firsthand the body’s ability to overcome adversity and heal itself through proper exercise, diet, and chiropractic care, she decided to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic so that she could enable others to benefit holistically, just as she did. She is extremely passionate about empowering her patients through home exercise recommendations, as she has seen the sense of pride patients gain, along with the sense of control over their health when they implement these tools, ultimately helping themselves out of the pain cycle and into one of wellbeing. After graduating Cum Laude from Logan University, a chiropractic college near St. Louis MO, Dr. Moira completed an internship nearby, where she further developed her style of practice and implemented comprehensive patient care plans. Following the internship, she has enjoyed treating families at a facility in Waukesha for the last 5 years however, sought a facility was closer to family and friends.

In transitioning to Lake Country Health Center, she is eager to be involved with a facility that offers an integrative approach and looks forward to offering her care with the convenience of rehabilitative exercise/instruction, decompression, dry needling, therapeutic massage, and a vast array of innovative therapies on-site. These modalities complement and enhance the care she provides and completes the holistic wellness approach. Every body is a puzzle and she truly enjoys working hard to piece it all together while guiding patients through the progression from pain relief to functional improvement and into wellness care.

Having the privilege to offer her community a non-surgical/non-drug alternative to their neuromusculoskeletal problems is so rewarding and Dr. Moira takes pride in offering an evidence informed, conservative corner of healthcare to patients. She finds that being informed on the latest research, best practices, and treatments through continuing education is a priority in her journey as one of today's healthcare providers, some of her most recent continuing education courses have progressed her knowledge in dry needling, rehab, soft tissue/muscle release, motion palpation, extremity adjusting, and jaw work.

In her free time, Dr. Moira enjoys spending time cooking with her family and fiance. She also enjoys gardening and would love to have a small greenhouse in her backyard some day. She takes time off each year for a trip to a national park for sightseeing and hiking adventures. Self care, movement and a good sense of humor are all a part of Dr. Martin’s philosophy for a healthy lifestyle.
